At its core, ArtisanNex is an ecommerce platform built exclusively for verified artists. But the foundation is only the beginning. On top of it, we’re building a community where artists and customers can feel at home.

People are at the center of everything we do and there will always be someone to talk to who can help.

Other marketplaces mix handmade with mass produced, imported, or factory made goods. ArtisanNex doesn’t. We’re exclusively handmade and original designs only, so you don’t have to sift through endless listings that have nothing to do with what you’re looking for.

Not all “handmade” products are created equal. Something produced in large quantities by hand in a factory isn’t the same as something made in an artist’s studio. Too often, customers are left trying to figure out what’s real and what isn’t.

To us, handmade means created by the artist, sometimes with the help of a small studio team, but always made in-house. We regularly verify with our artists to ensure that remains true.

You can trust that what you’re buying was made by someone who genuinely cares about the work.

When an artist applies to sell on ArtisanNex we ask for information including a video of the artist’s work area and product making process. We also meet with artists directly when we need additional information to complete verification. These pieces of information allow us to validate that the products being sold are not mass produced products.

We designed the ArtisanNex experience to provide artists with the opportunity to tell you their story and how they bring their pieces to life. Every artist store has the artist bio and the opportunity for the artist to tell you about what they are up to.

In addition to the artist storefront, ArtisanNex chooses artists to do in-depth features on their unique process and work. These features will let you learn even more about the artists on our platform.

Absolutely. You can message artists directly to ask about a piece, the materials, or a custom order. We believe that connection is the key to finding that one of a kind item you’re going to love.

Artists ship their products directly to you. Artists know best how to ship their work so it’s protected and gets to you as it’s supposed to.

A dropshipper sells products they didn’t make and possibly never touch. They list an item online and when you buy it, they pass your order to a factory or wholesaler. That supplier ships it straight to you.

The dropshipper is a middleman. They mark up the price and keep the difference.

Dropshipping isn’t a scam but on handmade marketplaces it causes real problems.

• You may pay handmade prices for mass-produced goods. The same item often sells elsewhere for a fraction of the cost.
• Quality is a gamble. The seller never sees the product before it ships, even if it’s supposed to be made to the seller’s specifications.
• Shipping can be slow. Items often come from overseas warehouses.
• Support is harder. The seller can’t answer detailed questions about something they’ve never held.
